so what type of doctor is best?

Question:

> allergist? > pulomonogist? > or?? > family doctor? > when to change?  how to find a good doctor?

I work on the principle of everything goes through a GP…I change GPs fast until I get one I communicate well with, then stick with them as long as I can (easy here in the big city, not an option for many I suppose) I live close to a major teaching hospital and by and large all appointments with specialists are there…so all the records are kept in the same place currently my local practise also has an asthma specialist…he’s a GP rather than a specialist, but looks after the details of treatment for ALL asthma patients at the practise…so my GP has somebody with a  lot of knowledge looking over his shoulder at all times overall it really couldn’t be better — eric "I am a man of many parts, unfortunately most of them are no longer in stock"

If your present doctor is doing a good job and you are well controlled – there  is no need to change. If you need to change, look for a doctor for whom asthma is their specialty.
