Is it possible that there is a cure?
Question:
Is it possible that there is a cure for Asthma? I borrowed a book from the library called "Give Asthma the big A" by Marian Slee. It is a book based on her life in Queensland where she trialled a treatment of Vitamins – her diagnosis was that Asthma was a vitamin deficiency – symptoms completely disappeared within 1 week! Also a trial of similar but different vitamins by the Canadian Asthma Prevention Institute where they have done a "clinical" study with a 91% success rate. http://www.asthmaworld.org/protocolinfo.htm I believe there have been heaps of different trials – some of which I read but don’t understand the terminology. The Australian Asthma Foundation does not have any information about possible cures for Asthma – but has a large area about fundraising and general awareness. I don’t know that they are really focused about anything else – they leave it to the medical profession. And that is that they can relieve the symptoms but have no cure. Is it possible that the drug companies have a vested interest in not finding a cure? What do people think? If you want to make money on the NET http://members.optushome.com.au/tardis3/refer

This idea has been tested in clinical trials and the conclusion is that asthma is not caused by vitamin deficiency. However the people selling the vitamins do not want you to know this. — "What Sept. 11 did was remind us that there are times when we must fight for our country, that, indeed, there are things – our liberty, our democracy, our belief in human rights and human dignity – worth fighting for." Who cares what she says happened to HER? > Also a trial of similar but different vitamins by the Canadian Asthma > Prevention Institute where they have done a "clinical" study with a > 91% success rate. http://www.asthmaworld.org/protocolinfo.htm > I believe there have been heaps of different trials – some of which I > read but don’t understand the terminology.
No, according to my reading of their website, they have done NO Phase 4 clinical trials yet. Those are the clinical trials were effectiveness is finally tested. > The Australian Asthma Foundation does not have any information about > possible cures for Asthma – but has a large area about fundraising and > general awareness. I think you have already made up your mind that cures exist and that the medical establishment is keeping them from you. I think that if you’re willing to believe what you read in some book you got in the library, versus what all the teaching hospitals, research laboratories, governments worldwide, physicians worldwide, have said (namely that asthma is currently incurable), that says a lot about YOU. I think it’s pointless to have a discussion with someone who is letting his ideology and desperation get in the way of his own health. — Steven D. Litvintchouk
