Pulmicort Why do letters say USAavailable??
Budesonide is a medication used to treat asthma, allergies and crohn’s disease. Buy budesonide nasal spray and feel better today!
Question:
>available. What is the story? Has anyone out there actually bought it at >a US pharmacy ??? Does anyone have the true up to date story on this
I had a similar problem with Flovent. I bought Pulmicort in March (approx March 26) at Wal-Mart. They had to order it but had it there the next day. It IS available, but may not be everywhere yet.
Response:
Got the Pulmicort in late February at CVS Pharmacy (I was the first customer, thought I was going to get a prize<g>) I even let the pharm. tell me how to use it, just to make sure *he* had been given the proper instruction !

I have read several letters in the past weeks that state the Pulmicort Turbuhaler form of delivering Budesonide is now available in the US. This would certainly be welcomed by me since I have had to mail order it from Canada and it is not covered by my med insurance. I have spoken to several druggists in my home town of Vancouver WA and they have not heard of it yet and it is not even listed on their computers as existing leave alone available. What is the story? Has anyone out there actually bought it at a US pharmacy ??? Does anyone have the true up to date story on this drug’s availability? I have taken it for several years now and have heard the same story before. Some have it confused with Flovent which contains Budesonide but is delivered with a propellant. I go downhill right away when I use Flovent. The Turbuhaler uses no propellant which affects my breathing negatively. — Don Baiar pacifier.com

It is available only from your pulmonologist as a sample, which means he may or may not have one. It is not currently for sale. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I have read several letters in the past weeks that state the Pulmicort > Turbuhaler form of delivering Budesonide is now available in the US. I don’t have inside info on this, but I remember someone posted a message several weeks ago saying they contacted the manufacturer, Astra, and Pulmicort should be available in the US in November. I checked out the Astra site at http://www.astra.com/ Clicking on Sitemap, FAQ, I found: "What are the latest news about Pulmicort Turbuhaler in the U.S.? Astra received marketing clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for Pulmicort Turbuhaler on June 24. The product is indicated as maintenance therapy for the treatment of asthma in adults and children, six years of age and older. Pulmicort Turbuhaler is expected to be introduced to U.S. health care professionals in the fall of 1997." You can email questions to Astra in Stockholm from this site. Ellis
